Rhubarb Crisp (Barrie's Asparagus Farm Part 3)

I grew up enjoying rhubarb every spring; it grew like weeds around our home and my Mom and Aunt were forever making pies, crisps etc.

When we visited Barrie's Asparagus Farm I came home with this:

And for my Dad's Birthday I made this:

 

 Despite enjoying many a Rhubarb Crisp I had never actually made one, so I started researching.  I gathered a few recipes, took what I liked and discarded what I didn't and devised the recipe below.

I wasn't sure how it would turn out so I failed to take many pictures as I was simply experimenting.  My experiment worked and my family was so excited by my Rhubarb Crisp that I thought I would share it with all of you.
